Talofa Lava bloggers,
Summer is nearly here and we are about to begin our swimming lessons at Cameron pools so that we know how to stay safe around water at all times.
Today I will be talking about swimming. It is really important to have a buddy so you can look after each other and if you and your buddy might get in trouble and maybe drown you always need a adult with you at all times even if you think you are old enough and you don't want them. And if you can't swim properly you need the water to be at your thighs and if you are a professional swimmer you can have the water above your waist.
You need to learn how to swim because... if you don't swim you might drown somewhere because there is water everywhere in New Zealand and because if you are a kid and you make up lies just because you don't want to swim when you get older you won't be good at swimming in fact you won't be able to swim at all because you can't.
Now you know what you need and what to do when you re swimming in the pool or the beach anywhere with water that you can swim in. And before I end this blog post I am going to show you me and my friends swimming presentation slides.
Now here is me and my friends link to our Swimming presentation.

I hope you enjoyed my blog post and swimming slides, blog you later.

The Great Wall Of China
Ni Hao bloggers,
Did you know that this week is Chinese Language Week? Obviously you know that we have all been busy with our production so we didn't have enough time to learn new stuff about China or the Great Wall Of China. But today we did just a little bit of new learning about the Great Wall Of China.
I learnt that...
How many people came to the Great Wall Of China to take a look?
Where did the emperor live?
and when the the Great Wall Of China Start to fall apart and start to disappear?
Thank you for reading I hope you enjoyed.

I learnt that...
- the Emperor decided that people should build a Great Big Wall for China so that the enemies can't use swords of sears to attack the Chinese people behind the Great Wall.
- I learnt that the Great wall started to break into pieces and started to disappear.
- and I also learnt that the Great Wall Of China was not built by expensive machines it was handmade, made by people (which might have been hard for them to build a Great Big Wall for China).

It's Time!
Fakalofalahiatu bloggers,
Today is the day for our Matinee! We have been practising really hard for 10 weeks so that we could learn our dance routines.
Hay Park School has invited other schools to come and watch our wonderful performances of Where The Wild Things Are.
At the moment I am feeling quite anxious and excited at the same time but I am nervous too. No one can come to the Matinee tonight now because all the tickets are Sold Out!!!
Thank you I hoped you enjoyed and I hope you come to the Matinee performances tonight.

Letter to Mrs Butler
Malolelei bloggers,
Yesterday Mrs Butler came to Harris Class to work with us. We looked at a poem from called "Did you ever...?" my Nathan Reed.
Mrs Butler told us to write two poems just like Nathan Reed which included adding in three verbs and three nouns for two poems.
Here are my poems
Did you ever tell scary stories at night in the dark with your cousins?
forehead sweating
arms shaking
eyes closing.
Try it.
Did you ever have someone jump out from the corner and say "BOO"?
eyes twitching
heart pounding
eyes watering.
I loathe it.
Thank you for reading I hope you enjoyed see you later.

The night when I couldn't sleep
We were learning to describe a time when we couldn't sleep.
Here is my writing.
My eyes were open wide but I was really tired. The clock was ticking, the wind was howling, crickets were chirping,my dad was snoring but worst of all the baby was crying all night. The worst bit was I was next door to the baby's room. He even started screaming how frustrating! "WAAH" "WAAH" the baby kept on crying and crying. It was so irritating I wondered will I get enough sleep? I covered my ears with my pillow but the baby's crying was so loud that I could still hear it.
Suddenly the crying stopped for a moment. My eyes were heavy, my eyes were slowly closing then... the crying started again. My eyes were red. I was getting so annoyed. I was so annoyed that I really wanted to say shut up!!! people need some sleep around here! that's how frustrated I was. The wind started howling again, the tree's were smashing onto the window but the baby was still crying so I thought to myself again will it ever stop?
Please leave a comment and what you think i can approve on.
Thank you I hope you enjoyed.

School trip to the Marae
Konichiwa blogging world.
Today I will be talking about what I did last week on friday.
so I went to Lynfield college and we went inside the Marae .
At the Marae their was college students that taught us a haka, their names were Kazaia,Bella,Israel,Paige and I forgot the 2 other students names.
Then after that activity we went into the Marae and there was a college student and she was a girl but I forgot her name and she taught us how to use a poi and she gave us clear step by step instructions and the 4 instructions were Ki runga (up) Ki raro (down) Ki roto (in) Ki waho (out).
My favourite highlight of the day was when they performed the phowiri for us (Hay Park School) and they were singing and performing a dance too.
Here is a photo of the girls practising with the poi's.
Thank you I hope you enjoyed.

Polynesia performance
Kia ora bloggers
today I will be talking about what i did today.
today we had a performance and there was a man performing for hay park and his name is Bernard and he said that he has been dancing his whole life. his dad said that they didn't have a choice because they had to dance they had a talent so they had to use it or they will lose it, so that is what Bernard did to his 3 sons Kuba,Jake and Samuel.
Bernard did a lot of dances but mostly he was telling stories and he said that his dad went to war 2 times and he got shot in the head and in his heart, so Bernard said that his dad wakes up crying.
he did this really amazing hula hoop dance and he said that he has been practising that dance for 10 years and i agree i actually might take probably 15 years to practise that dance. he used 7 hoops.
My favourite dance was when he did the sign language dance that was kinda cool

- Here is a photo of Bernard and Mose and JD.
Thank you I hope you enjoyed this.
